Coming to run in Verona also means doing excellent tourism, visiting the city and its artistic beauties for a few days with family or friends.

Authoritative newspapers such as Corriere dello Sport - Stadio, media partner of the events, as well as the specialized media have recently made the ranking of the most participated half marathons in Italy in 2021.

"It is a source of great pride for us as organizers of Gaac 2007 Verona Marathon Asd - says the president Stefano Stanzial

- seeing two races organized by us on the podium of the most important Italian half marathons repays us for the many efforts made and the organizational quality that we have always put in place "-

The Giulietta & Romeo Half Marathon is an international event, included in the World Athletics calendar and classified as Gold Label Fidal, there are only four in Italy with this guarantee seal.

Zero Wind Cangrande Half Marathon is also international and classified Silver by Fidal.

"This great result was possible because we are a very cohesive group.

Thanks must go to the local institutions that collaborate strongly in these events, to our sponsors without whom, as always, little could be done, but also to all the staff of over 500 volunteers. Men and women who work with us for days and strongly believe in these sporting events ”.

The President:

"Having two events in the top three in Italy gives us a great boost for the future.

The races we organize often also have a charitable-solidarity purpose, they bring great tourism to the city, as calculated by the Chamber of Commerce in 2019 in the city in

occasion of the marathon and Cangrande Half Marathon there was an economic induced by the tourism sector of over 3 million euros.

Still with our races, which allow everyone to participate even with shorter and more accessible and popular distances, we always talk about well-being, physical mobility, health.

There is also an ecological aspect by promoting walking rather than vehicular movement ".

“We have a strong impact on the city, we organize international events with a strong media impact and beyond.

We often have live streaming or images on TV like in June with 40 minutes of delayed broadcast on Rai Sport, three blue athletes after the Giulietta & Romeo Half Marathon then went to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, I'm talking about Giovanna Epis, the winner Eyob Faniel and the third place Yassine El Fathaoui.

It is also right to underline that the thousands of Italian and foreign athletes who run in Verona certainly speak well of it in their families, among their friends ”.
